Silver Lake, the private equity firm that isplanning to take WME owner Endeavor private, is also aiming to get further into business with Endeavor executive chairman Patrick Whitesell.
According to Whitesell’s new employment agreement, which was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission in conjunction with the take-private, Silver Lake is committing $250 million in seed money for a new media company to be led by the Endeavor executive chairman. “Activities of the Media Company will include (a) investing in and providing services to companies in the entertainment, media and sports industries; (b) developing, producing, financing and exploiting film, television and digital audio visual content; (c) talent management; and (d) consulting with other entertainment companies,” per the filing.
